Rosebank Union Church as a rich history, having first started as a house church in 1906. The website One Part Scissors designed for the church had to house a wealth of information about the church, it’s values, beliefs, and history, as well as modern-day resources such as audio podcasts, event calendars, blogs, and links to the Social Media Networks.

With this in mind, OPS ensured that the huge body of information is never overwhelming to the user.

As the website is built on the Drupal Content Management System, the church has quick and easy access to edit the website’s info, uploading podcasts, resources, new events, and blog posts on a virtually daily basis.

The Resource Centre is packed with interesting information is a variety of media, and there is a Member’s Zone which allows Andy to share special content with paying clients.

We took our lead for the look and feel of the website from the previous website and the Brand Standards Guide we created for Andrew Brough in 2008, but the look has been updated with drop shadows and layered graphics that add a three dimensional feel.

OPS has just completed the website for SAMA award winning producer Crighton Goodwill, who has worked with the likes of Loyiso, Vusi Mahlasela, Gang of Instrumentals and a host of Idols winners. He has also worked on ‘Sound to Picture’ projects such as SA Survivor Malaysia.

The website features a powerful content management system that allows Crighton to quickly and easily add information – as well as Audio and Video – to the site. The website intelligently files audio by a particular artist with that artist’s page – and it collects the artist and album info straight from the MP3 file, making uploads even simpler.

The automatic filing of information into various sections means that site administration is a pleasure – add an ‘Award’ story, and it will be filed with all Awards news; post a story about ‘Sound to Picture’, and that is the section visitors to the site will find the info.

Benchmark Signs is a corporate identity project manager working on some of the largest signage projects in the country – from ACSA airport wayfinding signage, to stadium signage and branding on massive hotels and shopping centres.

One Part Scissors refreshed Benchmark’s website to have a modern look-and-feel. More important is the ability for the company to add images of their high-profile projects as they are completed. The role of the website is to communicate information about the company, and assure prospective clients that Benchmark can handle the scale of their projects. Seeing images of the recently completed projects on the home page is all the assurance they need.

Easylife Kitchens has relaunched their brand. Working with Branding Agency MGM Communications, One Part Scissors translated the new look and feel to the existing Easylife Kitchens Website.

One Part Scissors has redesigned the corporate website for FlowCentric.

FlowCentric is a software company operating on four continents. The concept of the website is based on the blog principle of having regular updates to the information people can find on the site. There are 4 distinct blogs on the website, supplying relevant and up to date information around training materials, product features and developments, frequently asked questions, as well as a general resource around the concept of process management.

The front page of the website pulls the latest posts from all these blogs – as well as from the CEO’s personal blog. Latest news stories are also displayed on the front page for quick access. All case studies and news stories are loaded dynamically, without requiring the user to open a new window or move away from the page they are on – this gives the website a very smooth and enjoyable user experience.

Another feature is an community-based support forum for registered users of FlowCentric software, which will facilitate the community of users in discussion around the product. This will become an essential resource for new users looking for answers to their specific questions and challenges.

The entire website is updated by various departments within FlowCentric via a web based content management system, using the latest Web 2.0 methods and technology to make updating the website easy and fast.

The new website for the Institute of Christian Psychology was created by One Part Scissors in conjunction with the I Scream Truck agency. I Scream Truck developed the initial concept, and One Part Scissors brought that concept to life with a content management system that will allow ICP to keep their content up to date.

The slick, stylish website is easy to navigate and makes the task of researching education options enjoyable.

One Part Scissors once again teamed up with Donovan Coetzee (assemblies.org.za) to create a website for Urban Edge Church in Durbanville, Cape Town. The use of JQuery allows the church to update all the pages. The UrbanEish! blog was also created.
