Smarthouse Studios has recently looked at their strategy for communicating what they do, and found that the Smarthouse name did not convey the full scope of their expertise. The company has been renamed ‘Arc Africa Architects’.

One Part Scissors assisted with the refresh of the existing website to reflect the new name, as well as a local outdoor advert at the El Corro Centre, close to Arc Africa’s offices.

OPS created a website in 2007 for 4D and A Architects, the architects behind the creation of our former offices in Stonemill Office Park. Now in 2010, the website needed to be refreshed and updated with a more current style and approach.

The website showcases 4DA’s diverse portfolio of corporate, commercial, residential and educational projects, set against the backdrop of an intensely minimal space which allows the focus to remain squarely on the projects themselves.

The website has been built to make use of the existing WordPress based content management system, allowing 4DA to keep the website up to date with the latest projects and work in progress news.

Other items OPS created for Smarthouse include Bannerstands to be displayed on the course at various points.

Nsika House Architecture & Design creates spectacular award-winning buildings. The buildings, coupled with rich architectural illustrations and scale models are the central focus of the website OPS created for Nsika. From the first page, large images of Nsika’s designs are presented to the visitor. The large portfolio of work is broken up into various sections to allow the serious visitor to concentrate on the type of work they are needing from Nsika.

After the success of the Smarthouse Studios branding renovation, OPS designed the architectural firm a website to showcase their years of achievement and current projects. Using a content management system, Smarthouse Studios are able to keep the site up to date as projects are completed. The site’s design follows the clean uncluttered linear feel of the corporate identity, making use of colour and structure to highlight and display important information.

Drawing inspiration from architectural styles that are well respected by the firm, One Part Scissors brought the firm’s vision for their new corporate image to life.

This new image will be filtered through all correspondence and marketing material over the next few months.
