OSRAM Makro Point-of-Sale

One Part Scissors has recently created marketing materials for shelving inside the Makro stores, to inform the customer and promote the OSRAM range of products.

Studies completed by OSRAM internationally have shown that even consumers who deem themselves to be very comfortable buying lights “often buy the wrong lamp type”. This is due to the wide range of options, bases, and light colours available. Added to this is the challenge of moving people away from traditional lighting options towards energy-saving options such as LED, compact fluorescent and other energy saving solutions.

OPS created a range of info panels to stand next to the products which informs the customer on the varieties of base types, the lamp colours, and the energy saving benefits available in other products.

The info boards are already in place at Makro Woodmead, and will begin rolling out to other locations shortly.

Beauty for Ashes Conference Brochure

The Beauty for Ashes Women’s Conference has been running since 2002 (the year One Part Scissors began!).

OPS was approached to create the print brochure for the 2011 conference. A look-and-feel was developed by in-house designers for the Beauty for Ashes website, and we continued this identity across to the brochure.

Smarthouse Studios Wine Labels

One Part Scissors created clean, stylish wine bottle labels for Smarthouse Studios, to be used as promotional items in the upcoming Smarthouse Studios Golf Day.

What’s this about?
This year, at One Part Scissors we decided to look back on the past year’s projects and highlight some of the projects that stood out for us. Some were chosen because we enjoyed the challenges presented by the project, others for the positive feedback we received, and some were chosen simply because we liked the final product.

“This advert was a great experience in working with 3D rendering software to create something unique and interesting with a series of photos from the last 40 years of OSRAM. The advert was placed in 6 magazines, and the feedback has been tremendous.”

Miss Earth South Africa Gala

Chanel Grantham was crowned Miss Earth South Africa 2009 at Emperors Palace on 6 June. One Part Scissors designed the invites, programme and menus for the event.
The programme needed to double up as a brochure after the event. The programme highlighted education and greening work carried out by the Miss Earth Organisation through out the year. A separate insert showing this year’s finalists in glamour and swimwear was printed specifically for the event. Invites to the event were sent out via email.

Thabex Limited Annual Report

Thabex Limited approached One Part Scissors to design their 2008 Annual Report.
The desired format consisted of a CD (with an electronic version of the Annual Report on) and a booklet, presented in a DVD case.
We used the new logo we designed earlier in the year and carried through the corporate ID elements we used on the business cards and letterheads. The Annual Report makes good use the new striking blue colour and the semi-transparent gradients to give the design a fresh modern feel. The gradients also help to separate information throughout the document without making the pages feel too busy.

Miss Earth South Africa 2008

We were proud to be the designers for the 2008 Miss Earth, South Africa Gala Showcase. Designs included email invitations, a 12 page Gala Showcase Programme and tickets.

Congratulations to OSRAM South Africa

We congratulate Sharyn McCormick and the Marketing team at OSRAM South Africa on winning the silver prize in the OSRAM International Promotional Pool 2007 for the retail launch of the DOT-it™ product in June 2006.

Gold prize went to OSRAM Turkey for their Student Illumination Movement campaign, with bronze going to OSRAM USA for the Global Care Launch: Earth Day.

OPS assisted OSRAM in creating point of sale items for in-store promotions, as well as additional items ranging from postcards and flyers to magazine adverts and truck artwork. One Part Scissors is proud to have been involved!
